The 29th annual banquet and auction for Pheasants Forever will be held this Saturday at the new expo building on the Chase County fairgrounds.
    Social hour will start at 5 p.m.
    The banquet will begin at 7 followed by the auction.
    “It’s important to note that youth that have attended the youth mentor hunt should wear their vest and hat that evening so they can be entered into drawings for special prizes,” said Heather Francis, president of the Southwestern Nebraska chapter of Pheasants Forever.
    There will be around 25 to 30 auction items, with additional silent auction items donated by local businesses and sponsors, she said.
    “Funds from the event will go mainly toward the youth mentor hunt program, local habitat project, youth pollinator habitat project and chapter member education and training in Chase and Dundy Counties,” said Francis.
