Voters in Chase County, Nebraska, and throughout the nation will go to the polls on Tuesday, Nov. 6, to cast votes in races at the national, state and local levels.
    In Nebraska, Republican incumbent U.S. Senator Deb Fisher is seeking a second term against Democrat Jane Raybould and Libertarian Jim Schultz.
    Republican Third District Congressman Adrian Smith will be seeking his seventh term against Democrat Paul Theobald.
    At the state level, Nebraskans will elect major offices including governor/Lt. governor, secretary of state, treasurer, attorney general and auditor.
    Incumbent Republican Gov. Pete Ricketts and running mate Mike Foley are facing Democrats Bob Krist and Lynne Walz.
    Voters in the 44th Legislative District will also vote on whether to return Sen. Dan Hughes of Venango to the seat or hand the seat over to his challenger, Stephanie Malcolm of Palisade.
    Chase County will decide two contested races for county offices.
    For county clerk, incumbent Debra Clark-R is facing challenger Billie Hayes-D.
    In the District 2 commissioner race, Jacci Brown-R will  face Libertarian candidate Duncan Einspahr.
    Brown advanced from the Republican race in May to face Einspahr. He had no party opposition in the primary and automatically advanced to the general election. No Democratic candidate sought the seat.
