The Wauneta Breeze won some of the state Better Newspaper Contest awards announced Saturday at the annual Nebraska Press Association convention held in Kearney.
    Award winners were:
    Diane Stamm and Shelby Brennan, first place in classified ad section; Stamm, second in agricultural advertisement, third in single ad idea black and white, and third in sports action photo;
    Tom Pantera, third in personal column;
    And The Breeze, second in photo page, second in headline writing and second in editorial page.
