Changes to child restraint law in effect

The penalty hasn’t changed, but if you have a young child you should know there are changes to Nebraska law governing how kids must be strapped into your car.
    Changes in the law went into effect Jan. 1.
    Chase County Sheriff Kevin Mueller said he doesn’t expect the changes to have much effect here.
    “We don’t see a lot of violations with that,” he said. “Most people are pretty good” about complying.
