Chase County Community Hospital board narrows study firms to three

Members of the Chase County Community Hospital (CCCH) board narrowed the field of companies bidding to complete a fiscal feasibility study for a new hospital from seven to three.
The board selected Beckenhauer Construction of Norfolk, Sampson Construction of Lincoln, and  the ERDMAN Company of Madison, Wisc., as the final three firms to interview.
The board will conduct those interviews at their next board meeting Monday, Oct. 16.
Of the three finalists, ERDMAN is the only one with architectural services within the company.
Beckenhauer and the architectural firm BWBR of Minneapolis work together while Sampson joins forces with Leo A. Daly architects of Omaha.
ERDMAN, which has a satellite office in Denver, recently completed a study comparing the cost of remodeling and enlarging the present structure.
Their report included costs and preliminary designs for each option. These designs were available to each of the seven bidders.
In the initial request for proposals, the hospital disclosed EDRMAN had completed this work and that the company would have the opportunity to submit a proposal.
