Fair lands Brothers Osborne for Friday, Aug. 17 concert
The Chase County Fair has done it again, booking the 2017 Vocal Duo of the Year—Brothers Osborne—for the country concert Friday, Aug. 17.
Entertainment Chair Alex McNair expects this concert to be yet another to feature some of the best emerging artists in country music.
In 2017, Brothers Osborne took home the titles of Vocal Duo of the Year and New Vocal Duo of the Year at the 52nd Academy of Country Music (ACM)Awards.
They’re nominated for two honors in this year’s show April 15—Vocal Duo of the Year and Video of the Year with “It Ain’t My Fault.”
Their accolades didn’t stop there.
In November 2017, Brothers Osborne pulled off a huge upset for the Country Music Association’s (CMA) Vocal Duo of the Year, beating out Florida Georgia Line for the honor.
They also landed CMA’s Music Video of the Year with “It Ain’t My Fault.”
In addition, the song earned a Grammy nomination, the third of their career.
Working class family
Two sons from a working class family, John and TJ Osborne grew up in a small, Maryland water town writing and playing songs for friends and family in their father’s shed.
John moved to Nashville first to play in other bands and two years later, TJ joined him.
It was then they formed Brothers Osborne as a twang-and-crunch duo that blends equal parts country and rock into one of the freshest, most identifiable sounds to come out of Nashville in recent years.
As a result of their success, they toured with the likes of Chris Stapleton, Eric Church, Little Big Town and Miranda Lambert.
