Joel Maris, a 2019 Wauneta-Palisade graduate has been awarded with the annual VFW Post 7996 and American Legion Auxiliary Post #304 Scholarship of $400. Presenting the check is Dennis and Sheila Pfeiffer. Maris attends the University of Nebraska-Kearney where he is studying Wildlife Biology.
