MCC volleyball, PTK teaming up for lymphoma awareness night

In the past several months, Hodgkin's Lymphoma has affected the life of McCook Community College volleyball coach Hayley Kobza. Her best friend, Kacey — a woman who became her sister-in-law — was diagnosed with the cancer in July 4.
On Tuesday the MCC volleyball team will do its part to try and raise awareness — and some money — in support of finding out more about the disease. Hodgkin's lymphoma awareness night will be held in conjunction with the 6 p.m. CT volleyball match with Southeast Community College.
"We wanted to do something to bring awareness and Kacey asked that any money raised go toward lymphoma research," Kobza said.
The volleyball is pairing up with MCC's Phi Theta Kappa who will expand their annual Pink-Out efforts for breast cancer awareness to include lymphoma research.
