McGregor felony charges dismissed

Felony charges have been dismissed for a former Wauneta man who faced two felonies and four misdemeanors stemming from an incident last summer.
Dodge County Attorney Oliver Glass said under a plea deal, felony charges of terroristic threats and third degree domestic assault against Allen E. McGregor, 56, now of Phillips, were dropped at an April 1 status hearing in Dodge County District Court.
As part of the deal, McGregor pleaded guilty to DUI second offense over .15 percent blood alcohol, for which he was sentenced to 30 days in jail plus probation and had his driver’s license revoked for two years; failure to inform an officer of a concealed handgun, for which he was sentenced to a $200 fine and probation; and violation of a concealed carry permit, for which he was fined $200 and probation and had the permit revoked. The court also ordered the weapon destroyed.
Glass said the felony charges were dropped because the woman identified as the victim in court documents could not be located and may no longer even live in the state.
Court documents said that on Aug. 18 police clocked a 2012 Chevrolet Impala at 59 mph in a 50 mph zone on West Military Avenue in Dodge County. It was pulled over and McGregor was the driver.
During the traffic stop, the documents said, a woman got out of the car without being asked to do so and told police that McGregor was drunk and had held a gun on her, court. An officer ordered McGregor out of the car at gunpoint and a search of the vehicle found a 9 mm handgun containing nine live rounds concealed in the driver’s door and also found a tumbler of alcohol.
