Museum program to focus on history of county churches

Chase County Museum will be presenting a program Sunday on Chase County churches in existence since the 1800s.
Charley Colton, Chase County Historical Society President, said he will be giving information about the churches in the county, both in the communities and rural locations.
“Many churches in the past were located in the country and were often used as both a church and a school,” he explained.
He said they will be showing pictures of churches, including photos of long-ago churches that are no longer standing.
The information being presented will build from stories about churches provided by area families, Colton said.
