Palisade budget shows no property tax hike

The Village of Palisade has seen its budget, property tax request and total property valuation all increase, but residents will get a drop in their tax rate over last year.
The result is that property owners will see little, if any, increase in their tax bill this year, Village Board President Jason Hicks said.
The recently passed operating budget for the village shows a 9 percent increase over last year to $647,841, up from $593,089.
The total property tax request is up 3 percent to $52,639.52, up from $51,011.96.
Total property tax valuation for the village in 2020 is $11,253,225, up 6 percent from last year’s $10,588,214.
