Pheasants Forever hosts 5th youth pollinator planting project

The fifth annual youth pollinator event was hosted by the Southwestern Nebraska Pheasants Forever (PF) Chapter on May 16.
The project was completed with help of the Chase County Schools third grade classes, members of the Imperial FFA chapter, the Southwestern Nebraska PF Chapter and Nebraska Game and Parks.
The project was planted on the PF Youth Memorial Park site, just west of Champion.
“Pollinating insects are an essential component in global food production,” said Heather Francis, PF Wildlife Biologist.
“It is estimated that one out of every three bites of your food has needed insect or animal pollination,” Francis added.
