The new wrecker at Sinner’s Paint and Body Shop in Wauneta is fully computerized, and even comes with a scaled-down version of its controls so the operator can work away from the truck.

Sinner’s state-of-the-art wrecker only one in area

Never let it be said that Lloyd Sinner is a man who doesn’t have pull.
In fact, with a wrecker purchased about a month ago, Sinner said he can pull anything that can be driven on any road.
The massive new state-of-the-art wrecker, the 13th truck owned by Sinner’s Paint and Body Shop, is known as a “rotator.” Its boom can turn 360 degrees, enabling crews to lift not just from the vehicle’s back, but also from the side and front.
On a normal wrecker, the boom is fixed in place so it can only lift from the back. “If you’re working off of the side, or over a bridge, with these other trucks, it can be done, but it’s very, very hard,” Sinner said, requiring the driver to jockey the truck into place.
The vehicle boasts five winches, two more than on a normal wrecker.
The wrecker also is completely computerized, the first such vehicle in Sinner’s fleet. While the controls are on the truck, it even has a scaled-down version that can allow him to control the truck remotely.
For jobs where height is required, the wrecker can reach 40 feet into the air. Sinner’s even bought a U.S. flag that can be flown from the end of the beam on holidays. To read the full storyy, subscribe to the e-edition online or call the Breeze at 308-394-5389 to subscribe to the print edition.
