Golfers have the chance for a fun way to support the Chase County Veterans Memorial project early next month.
    A three-person scramble is in the works for May 4-5 at Enders Lake Golf Course, and organizers said team openings still remain.
    The golf scramble will cost participants $100 each, which includes a chance at $100 flag prizes on each hole, a Saturday night calcutta and dinner, along with door prizes.
    Golfers interested in taking part can preregister now with Donna Werkele at the Enders course, 308-882-5300.
    She said they have room for 32 teams in the tournament.
    The May 4 dinner and calcutta is also open to the public, who can bid on the silent auction items, as well, Dave Oxford Sr. said.
    For the non-golfers, meal tickets are $15 each and can be purchased at the door that evening.
