For this article on Happenings at Sunrise Heights I can report an activity I sat in on last Thursday. There was cooking baking and the eating thereof.

Karla brought her portable electric oven and she and her helper, Kris had a roll of cookie dough. With Gloria’s  help to cut the little roll of soft chocolate chip dough, It was cut in little slices of the dough. Each slice was flattened and put in the little flat baking pan, just the size to set into the oven. I heard mention of seven minutes, the cookies raised and when taken out of the little oven they were perfect cookie size and were laid out with a spatula on the paper napkin each of us watching the process had before us. We enjoyed the tasty cookies. So that will be remembered as a new and fun activity to be a part of.
