For my next article on Sunrise Heights, I have been observing the work habits of a young man employee. He is Willis Christner, a waiter for several shifts. He takes meals from the serving window to the residents when the kitchen crew is ready to feed all the residents seated in their assigned tables. They are indeed looking forward to their meal. As I sat at my table I have become impressed at how Willis does his job. When I talked to him to relay my thoughts he said he had never thought of waiting tables in a nursing home and he continued with “I love everyone of these residents.” He parted with “I love my job!” That was good for my old ears to hear.
