Tentative times set for festival

A tentative schedule has been released for this year’s Harvest
Festival, “Blame It All on My Roots.”
“The biggest thing is that it moved weekends,” said Ashley Einspahr, co-chair of the event. “It’s usually the last weekend in July. We’re just competing too much with local fairs and we think attendance was down a little bit [last year].”
The festival will begin Thursday, July 18, and run through Saturday, July 20.
On Thursday, things will kick off at 6:30 p.m. (all times MT) with a talent show, which is being brought back after a one-year hiatus, at the Chateau Theatre.
Night swim with $1 admission will run from 7 to 10 p.m. at the swimming pool.
On Friday, regular swim will run from 1 to 2:30 p.m., followed by paddle boat races and the pop dive at the pool from 3 to 4 p.m. A craft and vendor show will run from 5 to 8 p.m. in the park. “Pie a Cheerleader”
and sand volleyball both will begin at 5 p.m. in the park.
Saturday will be the festival’s busiest day. Registration for the Yucca Run opens at 6:30 a.m. at the senior center, with the run starting a half-hour later. A fun run will be at 7:45 a.m.
BWTelcom will host a courtesy breakfast from 7 to 9 a.m. at its building. If that doesn’t fill you up, the volleyball team will sell root beer floats from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
