The Chase County Veterans Memorial project is nearing completion.
Last Thursday, the combined efforts of three companies insstalled the long-awaited digital veteran registry kiosk at the memorial site.
Great Plains Communications installed the fiber optic cable to the kiosk for transmitting fast-traveling data.
Electricity for the kiosk was supplied by Pivot Electric, and two partners/installers with Windy Prairie Systems, Inc. of Raymond, installed the kiosk equipment and software which was purchased from their company.
Two members of the VFW Post 4688, Bud Statz and Bob Thomas, also members of the veterans memorial committee, were present to observe the installation.
