Villians, heros, heroines, laughs in store at Harvest Fest melodrama
Wauneta’s Harvest Festival entertainment will kick off Thursday, July 27 with “Showtime on the Showboat,” a melodrama featuring local cast members and directed by Aaron and Sara Behrends.
The melodrama takes place on a showboat making its way down the Mississippi River. The villian, Rufus Bilge played by A. Behrends, plots to take over the showboat. The rest of the cast works to thwart his attempts.
“The audience will be involved in this side-splitting story,” explained S. Behrends. “Get ready to laugh!”
