Robert Dean Kitt was born March 13, 1934, to Kenneth V. and Erma (Lorance) Kitt in rural Chase County, Nebraska.
Bob married his high school sweetheart, Patricia Ann Newman, on Oct. 12, 1952 and the couple began the dream of owning their own farm and raising a family.
Bob passed away Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2019, at the Wauneta Care and Therapy Center in Wauneta. He was 85 years of age.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and wife Pat, shortly after celebrating their 62nd wedding anniversary in 2014.
Survivors include daughter Annette K. (Mike) Forney of Castle Rock, Colorado; sons Kenneth L. Kitt of Wauneta; Ronald G. (Orla) of Ogallala; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; special friends Kip and Terry Engell.
“The grandchildren and great-grandchildren will greatly miss their loving grandpa, his homemade ice cream and caramels.”
A private family celebration of life has been planned at a later date.
A memorial has been suggested to the United Methodist Church of Wauneta. 162 W. Wichita Street, Wauneta, NE 69045.
