WP art students paint their way to second place at MCC annual paint-in

Wauneta-Palisade Schools attended McCook Community College’s annual paint-in competition April 6 in the Peter and Dolores Graff Events Center.
The team of four students, Maddison Hood, Hannah Lovell, Jessica Ehm and JoAnna Lawler led by art teacher Danny Schluckebier, brought home second place out of 19 teams in the general paint-in competition.
The theme was “Living in your perfect world.” MCC provided the paint and schools brought the rest of the supplies needed to complete the project, and was given two hours to create their piece. WP students did a space themed painting.
“Space is a nice open place to express yourself,” said Hood.
