Basketball practices well underway, Jamboree game Saturday

The Wauneta-Palisade basketball teams will travel to Ogallala Saturday for an NSAA Jamboree game.
Both teams are looking to build on last season’s successes.
The Wauneta-Palisade boys’ basketball team returns 12 letter-winners for its quest to improve on last season’s 15-9 record.
Seniors Caid Doetker, Dalton Harchelroad, Dennis Cavanaugh, Duncan Rector and Joel Maris, return as three-year letter-winners for Coach Dave Kuhlen.
Rector scored just under nine points per game last season while leading the Broncos in assists and steals. Doetker was the team’s leader in rebounds and blocks.
Juniors Ben Anderjaska, George Lee and Ty Duvel also gained valuable experience during the 2017-2018 season. Austen Rozelle will miss the season due to injury.
