Lady Broncos lose to Brady, four regular season games remain

As volleyball’s regular season winds down, Wauneta-Palisade volleyball holds a 9-9 record after a loss to 14-4 Brady Friday.
The match got off on the right foot for the Broncos. WP took a 6-5 lead and never looked back.
Behind Payton Yearson serving, WP took advantage of Brady errors and points on two long rallies, the Broncos increased the lead to 15-8.
Brady battled back to narrow the gap to two points several times, only to see WP maintain the lead.
The Eagles made it interesting at the end of the first set. WP took a 24-20 lead and didn’t win the set until a blocking error by Brady ended the set at 25-23.
WP fell behind 0-5 to start set two, but rallied to take an 18-15 lead. Brady won the race to the finish, however. The Broncos were outscored 2-10 down the stretch, losing the match 20-25.
With the wind taken out of its sails, WP lost the final two sets 9-25, 10-25.
Haylee Sandman led WP with six kills. Michaela Dukes added five kills and paced the Broncos with 13 assists.
