Peyton Vrbas was one of five Palisade swimmers to take part in the season’s opening meet at Palisade Saturday. Also taking part were Bree and Chloe Manley, Austin Hicks and Hannah Hanke. Other meets were held in Gothenburg, Imperial, Keaney and Oxford. The swimmers will take part in four more meets, June 10 at Atwood, June 17 at McCook, June 24 at Indianola, plus another meet the week of July 1. Qualifying for the championship meet will be July 8 at Minden, Alma and Atwood. The championship meet will be July 15 at Lexington.
