Joel Grosbach hopes to fill the Zion Lutheran Church in Imperial with Christmas carols on Sunday.
    Grosbach is the Director of Music, Organist and Kantor at Zion Lutheran, but has also been directing community Christmas concerts on and off since 2008.
    “We call ourselves the Chase County Community Singers,” he said. Singers include residents of Imperial, Champion, Enders, Wauneta and Lamar.
    Zion Lutheran is simply a host for the performance. “We are a community choir, not a Lutheran choir,” Grosbach said.
    The concert, “Born is a Child in Bethlehem: A Christmas Carol Festival,” will begin at 3 p.m. A cookie reception will follow.
