Two Wauneta-native siblings recently received military promotions. Abby Barger, left, was promoted to rank of Major.  She is assigned to the 27th Wing at Cannon Air Force Base in Clovis, N.M.  Major Barger is attached to the 16th Special Operations Squadron as a Combat Systems Officer aboard the AC-130W plane.  She is a 2003 graduate of Wauneta-Palisade Schools and 2007 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy.
