Kitt Family Reunion coincides with Harvest Fest
Members of the third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh generations descending from John Chiles and Sarah Mead Kitt spent the last weekend of July in Wauneta, celebrating their 125 years in Nebraska while enjoying the festivities of Wauneta’s Harvest Fest. Besides those wearing the name Kitt were relatives bearing over 50 other last names from 13 states and British Columbia.
Family members wore different colored t-shirts, depending on which of John and Sarah’s children they descended from: Truman, Will, Omar, Mary, John, Ray, Lee, Vearl or Clara. All of that second generation except Vearl were represented at the reunion.
