Hospital continues to look for answers
Chase County Community Hospital employees, administrators and board member Bob Mendenhall filled the room during the Chase County Commissioners’ meeting Sept. 11.
Mendenhall said they were looking for “either a number or plan” for a new hospital. He added the plan could be for a new hospital or an addition to the current hospital.
The hospital has two free planning days with representatives from Davis Partnerships Architects and Adolfson and Peterson Construction in October. CCCH representatives would like to have an answer from the commissioners before that meeting.
Mendenhall suggested it may be best to wait until 2019 for the meeting, a sentiment Commissioner Dave Hogsett agreed with.
“I don’t like the idea of rushing it. I want it thought out as well as we can,” Hogsett said.
