Bank conversion going smoothly, officials say
If you were a customer of Western States Bank, you aren’t any more.
Kyle Arganbright, chief development officer for Sandhills State Bank, which bought Western States Bank late last year, said the conversion “is going great.”
The change became official Jan. 25 and has drawn few complaints, he said.
“The customers seem pleased and the staff, although busy, seems happy.”
New debit cards were mailed to customers within two weeks before the conversion, and new checks are in the process of going out, once customers who need to confirm the information on the checks.
“We’ve had a lot of customers come in to confirm that,” Arganbright said. “If customers haven’t come in, we’ll be reaching out.”
