Annual catfish tournament May 13

This Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Enders Reservoir there will be a Catfish Tournament. Registrations can be made at the Eagles Club, Friday at 7 p.m. during the Calcutta and rules meeting. There is a $100 registration fee for a two person team.
    The event is sponsored by the Southwest Nebraska Izaak Walton League, an environmental organization that promotes natural resource protection and outdoor recreation.
    The local organization is comprised of 30 members who have monthly meetings at Ike’s Cabin at Enders.
    Participants can choose between boat or bank fishing, but are not allowed to switch from one to the other after the competition has started.
    Previous competitions have been held in April, but due to uncertain weather it was moved to May.
