With Wauneta-Palisade junior high basketball games beginning next week, to other junior high sports recently wrapped up.
    Coach Joseph Frecks had 14 athletes out for football this year. Frecks said it was a fun year, despite a 1-4 record.
    “Two of those loses were very close and the MHC game could have went either way,” Frecks said.
    The young squad picked up it’s win in the final game of the season over Paxton.
    “The kids worked hard and got better every day through practice and games, and that showed in the way we played our last game of the year against Paxton, and we got the win,” Frecks said. “This was a great way to end the season! I am looking forward o the eighth graders playing football in high school and the seventh graders coming back to JH football another year older!”
